The Department of Musicology offers a rich and diverse curriculum spanning the history of Western art music, ethnomusicology, and music cognition. Courses invite students to explore a wide range of questions: What drives stylistic change in music—evolution or revolution? What are the underlying principles that govern musical syntax, and can music truly be considered a language?

The Department of Musicology and the Dean of Students are pleased to invite you to the 2025 Monday Lunchtime Concert Series.
The concerts will be held in accordance with the guidelines of the university and the Ministry of Health.
Location: Mount Scopus campus, Humanities Building, Room 47215
Time: All concerts begin at 13:00 and will last approximately 50 minutes.
Admission is free.
The undergraduate curriculum in the department is taught as a dual-major track, and starting from the second year, students may be admitted to a single-major track.
