Starting from the 2025–2026 academic year, there is no dedicated entrance exam for the Department of Musicology. Students who do not yet read sheet music will be able to acquire the necessary foundation through the introductory course "Music from the Ground Up."
Students who can already read sheet music fluently and are familiar with basic concepts in music theory may take a placement exam and, if successful, register for a different course in lieu of "Music from the Ground Up."

Graduates of high school music tracks are exempt from the placement exam.
