Adam Yodfat

Adam Yodfat is a PhD candidate and teaching assistant in the Musicology Dept, Hebrew University. He studies Israeli and global popular music, combining music theory and analysis with cognitive and cultural aspects of listening to music. His M.A. dissertation dealt with the new tonal syntax in the global popular music of the post-modern era, and his current research aims to empirically study the musical characteristics of Israeli popular music since 1967 and their cultural context and evolution.
